Sony zaprezentowało Sony Z Ultra Google Play edition z systemem Android 4.4 KitKat. Urządzenie jest już dostępne w amerykańskim Google Play. Sony twierdzi, że bliższa współpraca z Google pozwoli przyspieszyć prace nad kolejnymi aktualizacjami "zwykłych" wersji do systemu Android 4.3 i 4.4
